About Us
WELCOME. We are a not for profit organisation representing the interests of game anglers and promoting the sport of Salmon and Trout fishing by encouraging new participants and providing assistance and advice to Salmon and Trout anglers in Hampshire.
We are affiliated to WildFish Conservation. and are responsible for implementing national policies at the local level. Use the "Support Us" link on the left to support the charity's national conservation efforts.
News
Visit us at one of these shows in Hampshire. We can teach you how to cast with a fly rod, to tie a fly, and show you how counting the small animals living in fresh water helps us monitor the health of a river.
- New Forest Show, Brockenhurst, 25-27 July, we will be in the fishing area.
- Stockbridge Trout and About, Trout and About went live again last year and we had a good time. This year it is on Sunday 6th August, we will be behind the Greyhound to help you tie a fly or catch a test trout.
- Hampshire Country Sports Day, We had a very successful show last year. The date for this year is Sunday 10th September at Bereleigh, we will be in the fishing area.
This years AGM, followed by the helpers supper, will be at the Cart & Horses Kingsworthy on 24 February 2023.

Our Courses
The objective of each course is to give instruction in Fly Fishing for Trout - promoting both healthy outdoor exercise and a caring attitude towards wildlife and the environment. It is suitable for beginners and improvers interested in game fishing. This years price structure reflects the environment we live in and our desire to provide an affordable opportunity for pupils to try fly fishing. It is the generosity of our volunteer helpers and of the fisheries that host them that keeps the courses affordable.
They are all day courses which cost: adults £50.00; juniors (16 and under) £30.00; adult & junior together £65.00. Those on state benfit pay: adult £40.00; juniors £20.00. Cost includes a two fish ticket. We are running six courses in 2023. For more details click on the "courses" button above.
